May 2024 : The fifth edition of the Pro MFG Presents Plant Maintenance and Asset Management Summit 2024 Summit was held in Indore on May 3, 2024. The summit was themed around ‘Efficient Operations, Optimized Reliability’.The Summit brought together industry experts, thought leaders and stakeholders to discuss the latest innovations, trends and strategies with regard to plant maintenance and asset management.
Special Address by Aditya SG Vyas, CEO, IITI Drishti CPS Foundation
The day kicked off with a welcome note by Niranjan Mudholkar, Editorial Director, Pro MFG Media. He highlighted the relevance of Indore for the Summit. Besides being an important manufacturing hub, the city is a flagbearer of ‘Maintenance’ and ‘Asset Management’ that has helped it become the ‘Cleanest City of India’. It was followed by a Special Address by Aditya SG Vyas, CEO, IITI Drishti CPS Foundation. He emphasized on the criticality of addresses bridging the industry academia gap through industry relevant skills thereby helping industries solve real time problems.
A panel of eminent industry leaders comprising of Satish Pandey, Head - Operations & International Business (Construction, Mining & Agri Vertical), Metalman Auto, Sujith Kumar, Director - Customer Innovation Center, Belden Inc. and Paresh Maiyani, Head Technical cell & Project, UltraTech Cement moderated by Manish Kulkarni, Director, Pro MFG Media deliberated on the transformative potential of digitalization in plant maintenance.
Dipankar Dutta, Business Head & Vice President, Symphony Limited shared his insights on how Symphony is democratizing comfort for the plant workforce so as to enhance productivity and business output in the long run. Following this, Vaibhav Koya, Regional Head - MP/CG/Goa, IDFC FIRST Bank showcased the industry engagements carried out by the banking entity to align plants’ financial strategies with maintenance and management plans for optimal impact.

The second panel themed around ‘Beyond the Basics: Implementing a Holistic Approach to Asset Management for Optimal Performance’ was moderated by Niranjan Mudholkar. Panelists Satendra Tiwari, Director Manufacturing, Case New Holland Construction Equipment, Dinesh Chandra Bhatt, Vice President - Works & Complex Head, SRF Limited, Dipankar Dutta, Business Head & Vice President, Symphony Limited and Aadarsh, Assistant Vice President, Hindalco Industries Limited uncovered strategies for a holistic approach for optimizing performance.
The Summit also featured an inspiring Startup Showcase steered by Nasscom Center of Excellence throwing light into the tech-driven solutions built by startups to assist in plant maintenance and asset management. Their cutting-edge innovations underscored the industry's ongoing commitment towards efficiency and reliability
The event concluded with a lively Pro MFG Smart Maintenance Quiz, engaging participants in a fun and interactive session that tested their practical knowledge related to plant maintenance and asset management.
