September 2025 : The Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the HPCL Green R&D Centre, solidifying a collaborative effort to advance research and innovation in alternate fuels and sustainable mobility. The agreement was signed by Dr. Reji Mathai, Director of ARAI, and Mr. Vipul Kumar Maheshwari, Executive Director, R&D, of the HPCL Green R&D Centre.
This strategic partnership is a significant step toward developing a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable transportation ecosystem for India. The collaboration will focus on several key areas, including: Joint Research: Conducting research on lubricants, coolants, fuels, oil additives, and new energy solutions. Engine and Vehicle Development: Developing advanced engines and vehicles compatible with future-ready technologies and various fuel types. Technology Evaluation: Evaluating indigenous technologies and providing necessary technical support. Knowledge Sharing: Facilitating the exchange of expertise and knowledge for mutual growth.
The alliance is set to accelerate the innovation cycle and strengthen India's push towards a more sustainable and eco-friendly future in the automotive sector.
