October 2026 : The Society of Indian Material Handling Equipment Manufacturers (SIMHEM), the industry body representing and advancing material handling equipment (MHE) manufacturers across the country, has elected Chetan Gole as its new President. In his new role, Gole will lead SIMHEM’s efforts to foster industry collaboration, drive innovation, and advocate for policy reforms that strengthen India’s intra-logistics and capital equipment ecosystem.

Gole brings over 35 years of rich engineering and top-management leadership to the post, including more than 15 years in full P&L ownership. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer (MHE Division) at Action Construction Equipment (ACE) Ltd. Over his 13-year tenure at ACE across two stints - spanning roles from Country Head and Vice President to CEO - he has played a pivotal role in scaling the business, establishing strategic global partnerships with international brands.

His distinguished career spans several leading industrial powerhouses. Gole began his journey at Elecon Engineering Company before joining Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd. He later held senior leadership roles at CRG_CV and at Vectra Advanced Engineering Pvt. Ltd.

Gole holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Production from Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar.
