March 2026 : In a move that significantly bolsters India’s self-reliance in the power electronics space, Exicom Tele-Systems Limited has officially inaugurated its state-of-the-art integrated manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. Built with an investment of ₹216 crore, the 18.4-acre campus is designed to be a cornerstone for India’s EV charging infrastructure and critical power solutions.

The new facility is not just a capacity play; it is a strategic expansion of Exicom’s manufacturing footprint. With a built-up area of 280,000 square feet, the plant increases the company’s production capacity by 2.5X in its first phase. Beyond the hardware, the project is a major boost for local employment, expected to create over 750 jobs in the region.

The plant will focus on high-demand verticals, including EV charging infrastructure, lithium-ion battery systems, and critical power solutions for telecom networks and data centers. Notably, the facility will also manufacture Tritium’s TRI-FLEX liquid-cooled power modules, bringing global standards to domestic soil.

At the heart of the facility lies a commitment to Industry 4.0. The plant integrates advanced robotics, digital traceability, and an ISO 8 cleanroom environment to ensure precision at scale. In a first for the country, Exicom plans to establish an EV charger interoperability testing center on-site, aimed at solving the industry-wide challenge of seamless compatibility between chargers and diverse vehicle models.

Commenting on the development, Anant Nahata, CEO and MD of Exicom, said: "This facility truly reflects what we mean by Beautifully Engineered. It brings together precision manufacturing, advanced automation, rigorous testing and complete product traceability to ensure every product we build meets the highest standards of quality and reliability. These capabilities allow us to innovate faster and scale with confidence. At the same time, the plant itself is a thoughtfully designed, visually striking space that reflects the care and craftsmanship behind our technology."

Sustainability is woven into the facility’s DNA. The campus features 40% green cover and a 1 MW rooftop solar plant, alongside rainwater harvesting and a dedicated sewage treatment plant. Designed to meet IGBC Green Building standards, the facility stands as a blueprint for responsible industrial growth in India.
