FICCI Appoints Anant Goenka as President

December 2025 : Anant Goenka, Vice Chairman of the RPG Group, has formally taken on the role of President of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), an institution established in 1927 with the blessings of Mahatma Gandhi. His appointment for the 2025-2026 term was officially announced following the apex chamber’s 98th Annual General Meeting and Annual Convention.
The new President brings not only his extensive corporate experience but also a powerful family legacy to the near-century-old institution. He continued, highlighting the unique generational connection: "A special moment for me today: as I walked through the gallery of Past Presidents, I was humbled to realise that not just my grandfather, but his father, and even his father before him, served in this role - in 1964 and 1945. It felt like history quietly tapping me on the shoulder."
Anant Goenka's professional journey is marked by significant leadership and corporate transformation, most notably during his 11-year tenure as Managing Director of CEAT Limited. He currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the RPG Group and also held Vice Chairman positions at CEAT and Zensar Technologies.
Academically, Goenka is highly accomplished, holding a Master of Business Administration in Management and Strategy from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from The Wharton School.
Alongside Anant, Mr Vijay Sankar is appointed as the Senior Vice President and Mr Puneet Dalmia as the Vice President.
His leadership at FICCI is expected to focus on furthering the interests of Indian industry, promoting ease of doing business, and strengthening India’s position in the global economy.
