August 2026 : Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) has recently appointed Aasif Malbari as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, taking charge of the FMCG major to steer its next era of global growth and category innovation.

Malbari brings nearly three decades of high-impact leadership spanning the consumer goods and automotive sectors. He joined GCPL three years ago as Chief Financial Officer before taking on expanded responsibilities as Global CFO and President for Godrej Africa, Middle East, and GCPL International, where he oversaw strategic expansion and operational turnarounds.

Malbari brings a distinguished executive track record built across some of the industry's largest global organizations. Prior to leading GCPL, he spent time at Tata Motors and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd as CFO of the EV division and Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles. Before his tenure with Tata, he spent over 17 years at Unilever and Hindustan Unilever in crucial leadership positions, serving as Group Finance Controller & Head of Investor Relations for South Asia. He originally began his professional journey at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Malbari graduated from Sydenham College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai University. He is a dual-qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) and Company Secretary (CS). Additionally, he holds a Diploma in Business Finance (DBF) from ICFAI.
