December 2025 : In a major boost to India’s self-reliance in the automotive sector, Greenfuel Energy Solutions, a subsidiary of Lumax Auto Technologies Limited (LATL), has inaugurated India’s first localised ferrule-less tube and fitting manufacturing line. Located at its Manesar facility, the state-of-the-art unit was unveiled by the senior leadership team of Maruti Suzuki India, marking a pivotal shift from import dependency to domestic prowess.
The project is backed by a phased investment plan of up to ₹75 crore, with ₹25 crore already deployed. The facility currently supports a capacity for 100,000 vehicles, providing torque-tightened, mass-production-ready solutions that enhance safety and quality consistency for CNG platforms.
By onshore-ing this German-proven technology- developed in collaboration with WEH Gas Tech- Greenfuel is effectively shielding Indian OEMs from foreign-exchange volatility and high freight costs.

The technology, used by premium German brands for years, has been optimized for Indian conditions. Mr. Akshay Kashyap, MD & CEO, Greenfuel Energy Solutions, noted, “We are the first and only company in India to localise ferrule-less tubes and fittings along with the underlying manufacturing technology. This Make-in-India solution offers ease of installation, reduced labour costs, and enhanced safety for the automotive industry. We have already commenced supplies to a leading OEM and are witnessing strong interest from others.”
As India pivots toward alternate fuels, this facility ensures that the "heart" of CNG delivery systems is built right here at home.
