October 2026 : Jindal Steel Ltd. has recently appointed Aditya Vardhan as its new Vice President IT and (Group) Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Having served as Associate Vice President IT & CISO, Vardhan’s elevation reflects his pivotal role in fortifying the steelmaker's digital footprint across complex IT, operational technology (OT), cloud, data, and emerging AI environments.

In his expanded capacity, Vardhan shapes the group's overarching cyber strategy, risk architecture, and privacy initiatives across global and domestic operations. He also leads governance and operations for Jindal Steel’s Global Capability Center (GCC) IT Centre of Excellence, driving secure, scalable digital transformation, regulatory resilience, and standardized service controls aligned with business goals.

Vardhan brings more than 25 years of cross-industry experience bridging enterprise security execution with commercial leadership. Prior to joining Jindal Steel, he served at Quess Corp Limited. His track record includes serving at CMS IT Services, Cairn India Ltd. and Adani Group, and managing security operations across the Asia, Middle East, and Africa (AMEA) region at PepsiCo. He began his career at Larsen & Toubro Limited (ECCD).

Vardhan holds an MBA in Strategy, Leadership, and IT Management from the Indian School of Business (ISB). He earned his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electronics & Communication Engineering from the Institution of Engineers of India (IEI), Kolkata, following a Diploma in Electronics Engineering from KLP Roorkee.
