January 2025 : The World Economic Forum has announced the appointment of Maria Basso as the new Head of AI Applications and Impact. Maria steps into this role with over six years of dedicated service to the Forum, where she has consistently demonstrated leadership and expertise in driving innovation and advancing critical global initiatives. Prior to this role, Maria served as the AI and Digital Technologies Portfolio Manager at the Forum’s Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
