The first JV, between NLC India Renewables Limited and RRVUNL, focuses on setting up Renewable Energy projects across Rajasthan. The second JV, between NLCIL and RRVUNL, is dedicated to developing a lignite-based thermal power station, aiming to enhance the reliability of power supply in Rajasthan.

October 2024 : NLC India Ltd (NLCIL) has announced the formation of two significant Joint Ventures (JVs) with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RRVUNL) aimed at expanding renewable energy and lignite-based thermal power in Rajasthan.

The first JV, between NLC India Renewables Limited and RRVUNL, focuses on setting up Renewable Energy projects across Rajasthan. The second JV, between NLCIL and RRVUNL, is dedicated to developing a lignite-based thermal power station, aiming to enhance the reliability of power supply in Rajasthan.

The JV agreements were formalized in the presence of prominent dignitaries, including Alok, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary (Energy), Government of Rajasthan, and Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, CMD, NLCIL. Dr. Prasanna Kumar Acharya, Director (Finance), NLCIL, and Devendra Shringi, CMD, RRVUNL, officially signed the JV agreements.

In both Joint Ventures, NLCIL will hold a majority equity stake of 74 percent, while RRVUNL will retain a 26 percent stake.
