July 2026 : SCHOTT Poonawalla recently appointed Roy Joseph as New CEO & Managing Director. Roy Joseph was welcomed by Global CEO Dr. Christian Mias, signaling a focused new chapter for the pharmaceutical packaging leader. With over three decades of experience under his belt, Joseph steps into the role with a reputation for steady hands, people-first leadership, and a deep understanding of what it takes to build sustainable business growth.

Joseph isn't a leader who manages strictly from a boardroom; his perspective was shaped on the ground, navigating complex global markets and supply chains through changing economic cycles. He joins SCHOTT Poonawalla after an impressive eight-year tenure at Amcor Plc, where he served as Managing Director for India and Vice President & General Manager for Indonesia, managing eight manufacturing sites and driving strong growth across the healthcare and food packaging sectors.

His journey through the packaging and materials industries is extensive and diverse. Before Amcor, Joseph spent nearly seven years as President for Africa, Middle East, and South Asia at Essel Propack Limited (now EPL). His leadership toolkit also includes serving as Country General Manager for Avery Dennison India, and an earlier five-year stint with the Essel Group across Europe and Asia. He began honing his operational grit at Owens Corning and Herdillia Chemicals Limited.

Joseph is an engineering graduate from the University of Pune, holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Mumbai, and completed the Advanced Management Programme (AMP) at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
