January 2026 : Simple Energy has officially raised the bar for electric mobility, unveiling its Gen 2 lineup headlined by the groundbreaking Simple Ultra. Boasting a massive 6.5 kWh battery - the largest ever in an Indian electric scooter - the Ultra delivers an industry-first 400 km IDC range, effectively silencing "range anxiety" for good.

The Bengaluru-based OEM didn't stop at range; the Ultra is a performance powerhouse, hitting 0-40 kmph in just 2.77 seconds with a top speed of 115 kmph. This flagship leads a refreshed portfolio that includes the Simple One Gen 2 and Simple OneS Gen 2, designed to cater to diverse rider needs.

The Gen 2 models introduce significant upgrades, including a 1-litre glove box, traction control, cruise control, and a weight reduction of 8 kg for better agility.

  • Simple One (5 kWh): 265 km range, 115 kmph top speed. Starts at INR 1,77,999.
  • Simple One (4.5 kWh): 236 km range, 90 kmph top speed. Starts at INR 1,69,999.
  • Simple OneS Gen 2: 190 km range, optimized for agility. Starts at INR 1,49,999.

In a bold move to instill consumer confidence, Simple Energy has introduced a lifetime warranty on the motor and battery across the entire portfolio.

Launching the variants, Suhas Rajkumar, Founder & CEO, Simple Energy, said: “At Simple Energy, we engineer with intent. Our Gen 2 portfolio reflects a deliberate, innovation-first approach - offering differentiated products across range and performance needs, all built for real-world reliability. Indian commuters are not one-size-fits-all, and a growing segment clearly demands extreme range and performance without compromise. Simple Ultra is built precisely for that customer.”

With 61+ showrooms already active, Simple Energy aims to expand to 150 dealerships by March 2026.
