April 2026 : Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy (SWREL) has officially appointed Rajesh Mittal as its Chief Information Officer, bringing a seasoned veteran of digital transformation into the heart of the renewable energy sector. Rajesh joins the leadership team at a time when the integration of AI, scalable digital solutions, and high-level efficiency is more critical than ever.
With a career spanning over 25 years, he is perhaps most recognized for a landmark achievement: leading the end-to-end design and implementation of the Command-and-Control Center for Bhopal Smart City, a project now cited as a benchmark in urban digital infrastructure. His expertise isn’t just in managing systems; it’s in bridging the gap between high-level technology execution and measurable business outcomes.
Rajesh’s professional journey is a roadmap of industry evolution. He most recently served as Vice President & Head of IT and Transformation at Altius Telecom Infrastructure (including Summit Digital Infrastructure Limited). His deep roots in the telecom and infrastructure space also include an 11-year tenure at Bharti Infratel Limited. Earlier in his career, he polished his technical and managerial skills at Avaya GlobalConnect, Ansun Multitech (India) Ltd., and PCL.
He is supported by a stellar academic foundation, including a B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode.
