October 2026 : SUN Mobility has recently announced a major shift in its executive leadership. The company named Satish Sundaresan as Chief Executive Officer of SUN Mobility and appointed Kamaldeep Singh as Chief Executive Officer of Indofast Energy, its 50:50 joint venture with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).

The dual executive structure divides core technology and operational execution into dedicated leadership tracks. Sundaresan will steer SUN Mobility’s hardware-software engineering, manufacturing operations, global sourcing, and product innovation to deliver Smart Batteries and Quick Interchange Stations globally. Meanwhile, Singh will focus on sharpening operational execution, improving unit economics, and rapidly scaling Indofast Energy’s nationwide battery-swapping footprint across India.

Both leaders bring exceptional career depth to their roles. Sundaresan packs over 25 years of experience across automotive technology, software, and electronics manufacturing. His career includes serving as CTO & Senior Vice President at Lumax Auto Technologies, Chief Strategy Officer & Managing Director at Elektrobit India, along with foundational senior engineering roles at Mercedes-Benz and Robert Bosch. Singh brings over two decades of P&L leadership and large-scale consumer operations expertise, having previously served as CEO of Big Bazaar and CEO of DealShare.
