March 2026 : Sunsure Energy has inked a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with JAKSON Engineering Limited. This partnership isn't just about utility bills; it is a significant push toward energy independence for one of the country’s most prominent energy and infrastructure conglomerates.

Under the new agreement, Sunsure will supply 7.28 million units of solar power annually to JAKSON’s corporate headquarters in Noida and its manufacturing hub in Greater Noida. The impact is immediate and substantial: the solar transition will offset roughly 80% of conventional grid power at the corporate office and up to 40% at the manufacturing site.

For JAKSON, a group that has spent decades building India’s energy infrastructure, the collaboration is a natural evolution of their core values. "At JAKSON, sustainability is not just a target, it is fundamental to our business," said Gagan Chanana, Joint Managing Director & CEO, JAKSON Solar Modules and Cells Business. "Our collaboration with Sunsure Energy marks a significant step in integrating clean energy across our operations. This agreement also aligns with the Government of India's broader push to accelerate the transition towards energy independence through renewable sources."

Environmental mathematics is equally impressive. The switch is expected to slash nearly 5.2 million kgs of carbon dioxide emissions annually - the equivalent of planting over 2.3 lakh trees.
