September 2026 : Setting up an industrial manufacturing plant from scratch requires far more than installing heavy machinery - it demands instilling a culture of safety, precision, and continuous improvement. Tasked with this exact mission, Ashutosh Debata has officially taken charge as Plant Head at TATA AutoComp Systems Ltd. in Sanand, Ahmedabad.

With a clear strategic focus on safety, quality at source, customer centricity, and cost competitiveness, Debata is laying down a sustainable operational framework aimed at building an empowered, high-performing team in Sanand.

Debata brings over two decades of deep industrial expertise in turnaround strategies, lean manufacturing, and capacity enhancement across top-tier automotive and manufacturing hubs. Prior to joining TATA AutoComp Systems, he served as General Manager of Operations at KOKO Networks. His extensive career spans key engineering and operational management roles at Fabrinet in Thailand, Pricol Limited, Varroc Engineering, Dana Holding Corporation, and Amtek Auto Ltd., servicing major OEMs including TATA, Mahindra, Bajaj, and Suzuki.

An alumnus of Biju Patnaik University of Technology (B.E. in Mechanical Engineering) and SCTE & VT (Diploma in Mechanical Engineering), Debata further sharpened his technical and strategic acumen with a Master’s degree in Manufacturing from BITS Pilani and a Senior Management Programme (SMP) qualification in Operations from IIM Ahmedabad.
