Capacity expansion a part of Atma-Nirbhar Bharat for locally made Solar cells and modules

Tata Power Solar Systems, the dedicated arm of Tata Power and one of India’s oldest and largest integrated solar energy company has announced expansion of its production capacity. One of the few local companies to manufacture solar cells and modules with Mono PERC technology, the Bangalore-based company can now manufacture up to 1100 MW of equipment per annum.

Our 31 years of strong experience in providing high quality solar products with continuous involvement in new technology has helped us to maintain leadership position in both solar manufacturing and EPC services”.

Delving into the details, Mono PERC cells capacity has increased from 300 MW to 530 MW while the Modules with half-cut technology can be assembled to the capacity of 580 MW from 400 MW. The lines are capable of handling 166mm-210mm wafers along with module wattage ranging from 440 watts to 530 watts with an option of bifacial modules.
