May 2026 : In a major development for the industrial technology landscape, Mr. Rakesh Khairnar has stepped into his new role as Vice President and Head - Technology, Center of Excellence at UltraTech Cement. His arrival is expected to bring fresh momentum to the company's enterprise tech modernization and large-scale delivery systems.

What truly stands out about Khairnar is his multidimensional, 24-plus-year track record as a transformation and digital acceleration leader. He has spent over two decades driving enterprise-scale change across highly regulated global environments, handling everything from initial strategy to compliant, scaled delivery.

Khairnar transitions to UltraTech Cement following a highly successful tenure at Mahindra Logistics as Head of Enterprise IT. Prior to that, Khairnar operated in the United States as President of SIA Services, LLC, and worked as an Independent Product Serialization Program Architect for pharmaceutical giant AbbVie. His earlier consulting and architect career includes impactful stints with Novus International, Inc., Canadian Pacific Railway, Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc., Fujitsu, and Hewlett-Packard.

Khairnar earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai and holds a diploma in Production Engineering from Agnel Technical College. Expanding his leadership and management acumen abroad, he studied at the University of Houston’s C.T. Bauer College of Business before earning his MBA with a focus on Supply Chain Management, MIS, and Change Management from Saint Louis University.
