Voltas Appoints Mukundan Menon as New Managing Director

September 2025 : Voltas Limited has recently announced the appointment of Mr. Mukundan Menon as its new Managing Director. His appointment is effective from September 1, 2025.

Having joined Voltas in July 2023, Mr. Menon brings over three decades of extensive leadership experience to his new role. His deep domain expertise spans the entire spectrum of the HVAC industry, including Room Air Conditioners, Commercial Air Conditioners, and Commercial Refrigeration Products. The company stated that his strategic vision and operational excellence will be key in guiding Voltas through its next phase of growth and innovation.

Prior to joining Voltas, Mr. Menon held the position of President & Chief Operating Officer of Blue Star Limited. He is credited with being instrumental in the successful turnaround of Blue Star’s product business

In addition to his role at Voltas, Mr. Menon serves as the President of the Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Manufacturers Association (RAMA). In this capacity, he has been actively involved in shaping industry-wide initiatives related to policy, energy efficiency, and sustainability.

On the academic front, Mr. Menon holds a B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calicut, a Graduate Diploma in Management, and has completed executive management programs from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and a Leadership Excellence program from INSEAD, France.
