September 2025 : Bajaj Auto has appointed Shakti Upadhyay as Vice President – Brands, where he will lead the marketing vision for the company's Sports Motorcycle category. This portfolio includes two of India's most iconic motorcycle brands: the legendary Pulsar and the powerful Dominar.
In his new role, Upadhyay will be responsible for driving the brand strategy, consumer engagement, and storytelling for a product line that has shaped the dreams of riders both in India and around the world.
Speaking on his new journey, Upadhyay said, “Bajaj has always stood for innovation, performance, and a strong challenger spirit - values that resonate deeply with millions of riders around the world. To be part of this legacy, and to contribute to shaping the future of India’s most iconic sports motorcycles, is truly an honour.”
Before joining Bajaj Auto, Shakti Upadhyay served as the Head of Marketing & PR at Kia India, where he was instrumental in transforming the company from a new entrant to a household name. He spearheaded successful campaigns for key launches, including the Seltos, Sonet, Carnival, Carens, and EV6, setting new benchmarks in automotive marketing with bold positioning and emotional narratives.
He also brings extensive experience from his prior roles at Samsung Consumer Electronics, where he shaped premium product narratives, and Hyundai India, where he contributed to the company’s success. With an MBA in Advertising and Communication, Upadhyay is known for bringing a creative, clear, and a challenger's mindset to his work.
As he takes on this new responsibility, Upadhyay’s focus will be on "deepening brand love, driving global ambition, and celebrating the spirit of riders everywhere."
