September 2025 : Knorr-Bremse AG, a global market leader for braking and other systems for rail and commercial vehicles, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state of Tamil Nadu to make a significant, long-term investment in new operations within the Chennai region

The agreement was signed in the presence of Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister, M. K. Stalin, and Knorr-Bremse CEO Marc Llistosella. This strategic move aims to establish a new cross-divisional Modular Campus, which will complement the company’s existing sites in India. The investment is designed to address the dynamic growth of the Indian transportation sector, particularly in the rail and truck segments.

Knorr-Bremse emphasized that India is an attractive future market and this investment is a key step toward sustainably strengthening its position in the region. The new campus will focus on expanding operations and engineering capabilities to meet the rising demands of India’s transport and mobility sectors.
