March 2022 : Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited has recently announced that Prabha Narsimhan will join CP India as Managing Director and CEO effective September 1, 2022, subject to Board approval, as Ram Raghavan is promoted to global Enterprise Oral Care role for Colgate-Palmolive.

Ram Raghavan: Effective April 16, 2022, Ram Raghavan, Managing Director & CEO, is being promoted to President, Enterprise Oral Care, Colgate Palmolive Company, and will be based at its headquarters at New York. Enterprise Oral Care will be responsible for stewardship of our global oral care brands, including the Colgate brand, which is found in more homes than any other brand in the world.

Ram has successfully led CP India to improved market leadership during very challenging market conditions. He provided strategic leadership to the business, steered the Company during the ongoing Covid crisis and accelerated the pace of innovation for regaining growth momentum.

Prabha Narasimhan: Prabha Narasimhan will join CP India as Managing Director and CEO effective September 1, 2022. Prabha joins the Company from Hindustan Unilever Ltd, where until recently, she led the Home Care Category as Executive Director, and served as a member of HUL Leadership Team. Prabha brings with her nearly 25 years of rich and varied experience across Customer Development, Consumer Marketing and Innovation across geographies and multiple categories, including Home Care, Foods, & Personal & Skin care.

During the transition, the current executive team will oversee day to day operations with guidance and close supervision of CP India Chairman Mukul Deoras. Mukul has deep knowledge and understanding of the Indian market and CP India having served as Managing Director from February 2010 to January 2012.

Commenting on this leadership change, Mr. Deoras said, “I would like to thank Ram for his strategic leadership to CP India business especially during a tough and challenging environment. He led the business through severe competitive pressures and delivered record high net sales, margins and profit for the organization. We wish him all the very best in his new role at Colgate. Prabha’s appointment is subject to approval by the Board of Directors at its forthcoming meeting.
