June 2026 : Rotomotive Powerdrives India Ltd. has recently announced the appointment of PL Muthusekkar as Director-Geared Solutions. Operating out of Chennai, Muthusekkar will take the reins of business operations, bringing a wealth of deep industrial knowledge to elevate the company's manufacturing and automation footprint across the country.

With over 35 years of rich experience spanning sales, business development, and corporate turnaround management, he is widely recognized as a change agent. His unique ability to transform loss-making entities into highly profitable ventures while maintaining industry-low attrition rates makes him a powerhouse addition to the Rotomotive executive team.

Muthusekkar’s career reads like a definitive guide to India's industrial evolution. Before joining Rotomotive, he built a legendary track record across heavy machinery, gear systems, and automation. Most recently, he served as CEO at Polyhose Sato-Shoji Metal Works and COO at Hailstone Innovations. His executive mastery was notably cemented during a stellar decade-long tenure as Managing Director and Board Member at NORD Drivesystems, preceded by heavy-weight roles as Business Unit Head at Bonfiglioli and Country Head/Factory Manager at Siemens (Flender Graffenstaden/Winergy). His foundational leadership chapters also include roles at Triveni Turbine Limited, Kirloskar Pneumatic Company Limited, and Shanthi Gears Limited (Murugappa Group). Additionally, he continues to share his governance expertise as an Additional Director on the board of Revathi Equipment India Ltd.

Muthusekkar earned his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University and GCE, later honing his corporate acumen with a Post Graduate degree in Marketing and Sales Management from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
