September 2025 : Azad Engineering Limited has recently inaugurated a new, state-of-the-art lean manufacturing facility spanning 7,200 square meters, exclusively dedicated to Siemens Energy. The facility is located at Azad's Centre of Excellence & Innovation Centre in Tunikibollaram, Hyderabad.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by distinguished guests from Siemens Energy, including Mr. Andreas Schmidt, VP Procurement Siemens Energy, GS Central, and Mr. Tim Kleinheyer, Head of Commodity Management GSC. The presence of senior leadership from both companies reinforced the strength of their long-standing partnership, which began in 2012.
Key Highlights of the New Facility: Workforce: The facility currently employs over 150 skilled professionals, with plans to expand to 230 by the end of the year. Technology: It features cutting-edge technology for manufacturing high-precision components, essential for the global manufacturing sector. Efficiency: The facility is built on lean principles to maximize productivity and streamline operations. Collaboration: This new line strengthens India's position in global manufacturing and further integrates Azad Engineering into Siemens Energy's global supply chain as a key participant in their Lion's Share program.
The partnership, which started with supplying highly critical rotating airfoils for two stages of SGT 400 machines, has now evolved into a comprehensive relationship encompassing the delivery of airfoils and critical machining parts across the entire Siemens Energy ecosystem.
