July 2026 : Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has officially launched its new brand, BEPOLY. The launch marks the Maharatna energy giant's strategic entry into the High-Performance Polymer business, substantially anchoring its footprint in the country's booming downstream petrochemicals sector.
By leveraging its deep refining expertise, BPCL designed BEPOLY to engineer top-tier polymer solutions. The primary goal is to provide a domestic bedrock for India's manufacturing expansion while aggressively curbing the nation's reliance on costly chemical imports.
Speaking on the grand occasion, Shri Sanjay Khanna, Chairman and Managing Director, BPCL, said, "Our entry into petrochemicals is a decisive response to India's growing industrial demand. By converting our refining strength into high-value downstream materials, we are reducing import dependency and building a new engine of value for the organisation."
The venture is structurally engineered for long-term corporate viability. Highlighting the initiative's structural value, Shri Vetsa Rama Krishna Gupta, Director (Finance), BPCL, said that the company's investment in petrochemicals is aimed at creating sustainable growth through supply chain efficiency and digital-led project monitoring.
To ensure immediate market traction, the company is adopting an agile rollout roadmap. Emphasising the market strategy, Shri Subhankar Sen, Director (Marketing), BPCL, said that BEPOLY will help set new standards in high-performance polymers, supported by an early market rollout to build strong customer partnerships ahead of commercial-scale production.
Crucially, the operational pivot relies heavily on upskilling BPCL's workforce to manage these highly sophisticated technologies. Shri Pushp Kumar Nayar, Director (HR), emphasised that BPCL’s greatest strength has always been its people. As we move Beyond the Molecule, he highlighted the importance of building future-ready capabilities through continuous learning. He noted that strengthening our teams’ technical expertise will play a pivotal role in positioning BPCL among the leading players in the petrochemicals sector.
With the rollout of BEPOLY, BPCL takes a monumental step toward anchoring India's future materials security, ensuring world-class polymer engineering drives local industrial success.
