There was a unanimous perspective on holistic training programmes for fostering a security-aware culture among manufacturing enterprises.

June 2024 : Rockwell Automation Leadership Think Turf event was held on 27th June 2024, at the Taj Santa Cruz, Mumbai in association with Claroty and powered by Pro MFG Media. The event focused on advanced strategies for cybersecurity in manufacturing, bringing together industry leaders to discuss and share insights on fortifying the digital future.

The event began with a welcome note by Manish Kulkarni, Director, Pro MFG Media followed by Dilip Sawhney from Rockwell Automation, who set the stage for the discussions ahead, highlighting the importance of cybersecurity in the manufacturing sector.

Benjamin Lim, CISSP Global Cyber Security Services Sales, Rockwell Automation presented an insightful session on the importance of incorporating advanced cybersecurity measures across the manufacturing industry. He highlighted the criticality of threat hunting and adopting a proactive defense strategy. This was followed by an industry presentation delivered by Narayanan R, Head - Channels & Alliances, India & SAARC, Claroty. He emphasized on securing Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) in modern Operational Technology (OT) networks.

The highlight of the evening was the roundtable discussion on "Fortifying the Digital Future: Advanced Strategies for Cybersecurity in Manufacturing''. Prominent industry leaders like Debasish Das, CISO, OTON for TATA Group, Debdas Banerjee, Head IT, Harshad Mengle, Global CISO, Tata Chemicals, Jignesh Joshi, Group CISO, Piramal Group, Neilmani Sahu, Head IT, JSW Paints Pvt Ltd, Narayanan R, Head - Channels & Alliances, India & SAARC, Claroty, Prasad Udyawar, General Manager IT, Parle Group, Ranjan Revandkar, CISO, PI Industries Ltd, Santosh Panday, GM Industry 4.0, Chairman's Office, Aditya Birla Group, Sivasubramanian M, Sr. Vice President & CDO, Welspun Corp, Tejas Shah, Head IT - Infrastructure / Info Security, Prince Pipes & Fittings and Urvish Acharya, Head - IT Governance and Risk and CISO, Birla Carbon actively participated in the discussion. Dilip Sawhney, Managing Director, Rockwell Automation India and George Young, Vice President, Global Digital Services, Rockwell Automation were also a part of the panel discussion.

The panelists deliberated on IT-OT convergence, evolving threat landscape and how vendors are helping developing robust OT cybersecurity strategies, the challenges in developing OT cybersecurity strategy, balancing accessibility with security, different approaches to effective OT patch management and employee training curriculum in the context of cybersecurity. There was a unanimous perspective on holistic training programmes for fostering a security-aware culture among manufacturing enterprises.

The event concluded with a networking dinner, providing attendees with the opportunity to connect and collaborate.
