May 2025 : Frinks AI, a trailblazer in applying advanced AI to manufacturing processes, today announced it has successfully raised US $5.4 million in its Pre-Series A funding round, bringing its total funding to an impressive US $6.25 million.

The funding round was led by PrimeVP, Chiratae Ventures and Navam Capital and Ashok Atluri with participation by other strategic investors and advisors.

Born out of the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad labs, Frinks AI was founded by three visionaries who questioned the analog nature of the precision-driven manufacturing industry. The founders - Subhra Shankha Bhattacherjee, Aditya Agrawal and Dharmgya Sharma - recognized the transformative potential of artificial intelligence to redefine the factory floor even before the widespread "AI wave" of 2020. This initial curiosity evolved into an obsession to bring cutting-edge technology to an often-overlooked sector.

After five years of intensive research and development, Frinks AI has developed foundational vision models that automate the cognitive layer of manufacturing, starting with visual inspection and quality control. Their sophisticated AI-powered solutions are currently deployed across over 1,000 production lines worldwide, effectively replacing laborious manual inspection processes and rigid, rules-based vision systems.
