May 2026 : As global aviation rebounds and demands next-generation efficiency, India is rapidly cementing its position as a high-tech manufacturing cornerstone for the skies. To expand its industrial footprint, GE Aerospace has recently announced a fresh investment of INR 100 Crore into its advanced manufacturing facility in Pune.
The new funds will directly support a wave of high-tech upgrades at the site, including advanced welding technologies, specialized inspection equipment, precision tools, gauges, and robust infrastructure enhancements. More than just a local upgrade, this capital injection is designed to boost production capacity and elevate process precision, ensuring the facility can continue delivering high-quality engine components to customers worldwide. This latest step builds beautifully on an INR 410 Crore expansion over the last two years, pushing GE Aerospace’s total investment in the Pune site past the INR 510 Crore milestone over a three-year span.

Beyond the machinery, the human side of this investment is profound. The Pune facility actively runs a dedicated Weld School and a structured two-year apprenticeship program that trains over 500 individuals annually, creating an elite talent pipeline that has upskilled over 5,000 production associates since 2015. By fueling a local network of over 300 suppliers, this hub keeps India firmly at the center of global aerospace excellence.
