September 2025 : Godrej Aerospace has recently announced a significant milestone in its journey to become a trusted global supplier for aerospace components, signing a five-year agreement with Safran Aircraft Engines (SAE). Under the contract, Godrej will manufacture critical titanium-based ventilation assemblies for the LEAP engine program, one of the most advanced and widely used commercial aircraft engines globally.
This strategic partnership is a testament to Godrej Aerospace's engineering excellence and its commitment to the "Make in India" initiative. The company will leverage its expertise in precision machining, welding, and non-destructive testing (NDT) to meet the stringent quality standards required for the complex components, which are located within the engine's main turbine shaft.
Maneck Behramkamdin, Executive Vice President and Business Head of the Aerospace Business, Godrej Enterprises Group, commented on the agreement: "By producing such highly complex components right here in India, we are advancing the vision of Make in India, for the world. The signing ceremony brought together key leaders from both organizations, including Mr. Dominique Dupuy and Mr. Joseph Bacik from Safran Aircraft Engines, and Ms. Nyrika Holkar, Mr. Anil G. Verma, Mr. Maneck Behramkamdin, and Mr. Paurush Bhesania from Godrej. This partnership marks a significant step forward in strengthening the aerospace manufacturing ecosystem in India.
