With IN-003 HT and IN-038 HT, and now the approval for change of location of IN-707 HT to our Kosamba facility in Gujarat, we are strengthening our compliant manufacturing infrastructure and expanding our ability to support exporters with reliable, high-quality and internationally compliant wooden packaging solutions." - Jay Shah, Managing Director & CEO - Jay Wood Industry
October 2026 : Jay Wood Industry (JWI), a pioneer in engineered industrial packaging and sustainable pallet manufacturing in India, has bolstered its ISPM-15 heat-treatment network. The company secured DPPQ&S approval for shifting its IN-707 HT registration to its advanced manufacturing facility in Kosamba, Gujarat, complementing its established IN-003 HT and IN-038 HT registrations.
The ISPM-15 standard, regulated by the Ministry of Agriculture’s Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine & Storage, governs wooden packaging materials in international trade. Cargo damage remains a major friction point, with transport insurers attributing ~65% of damage to poorly packed goods. Furthermore, a September 2026 International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI) guidance paper highlights that documentation and marking errors - not pests - account for 82% of German export non-compliance notifications (2023-Sept 2025). Such oversights lead to costly port detentions, emergency re-treatments, and forced returns.
JWI’s expanded dual-state footprint across Maharashtra and Gujarat directly addresses these friction points, streamlining export corridors like Mundra, Hazira, and Nhava Sheva (JNPT).
"For over 33 years, Jay Wood Industry has been driven by a single purpose: to eliminate packaging-related risk from global manufacturing and exports," said Jay Shah, Managing Director & CEO of Jay Wood Industry. "In global trade, compliance is not a checkbox - it is a non-negotiable license to operate. With IN-003 HT and IN-038 HT, and now the approval for change of location of IN-707 HT to our Kosamba facility in Gujarat, we are strengthening our compliant manufacturing infrastructure and expanding our ability to support exporters with reliable, high-quality and internationally compliant wooden packaging solutions."
Strategically located near major industrial hubs - including Surat, Hazira, Vadodara, Vapi, and Ahmedabad - the Kosamba facility provides crucial compliance assurance for high-value sectors like pharmaceuticals, chemicals, FMCG, auto components, and heavy engineering.
Backing this footprint is a legacy of industry firsts: JWI holds India’s first EPAL license (IND-007) with Level 2 self-control rights, operates as India's first PEFC-certified pallet manufacturer, and runs ISO-certified, automated production lines powered by 100% solar energy.
