December 2025 : McCain Foods India has recently announced a strategic addition to its Senior Leadership Team, welcoming Akhil Kumar Sharma as the new Plant Manager for its Mehsana facility. The appointment is a significant move for the global frozen food giant as it seeks to accelerate growth and strengthen its manufacturing capabilities in the Indian market.

Sharma brings over 17 years of progressive, multi-cultural experience from global FMCG giants, including leadership roles at Heineken (UBL), Nestlé, and ITC. He is recognized as an achievement-driven Operations & Manufacturing Leader who specializes in "building world-class manufacturing capabilities by integrating strategy, people, processes, and technology."

Akhil Kumar Sharma’s career trajectory showcases significant manufacturing leadership. Most recently, he served as Zonal Head - Operations at United Breweries Ltd. (The Heineken Company). Prior to this, he spent over nine years at Nestlé. Academically, Sharma is a Gold Medalist, holding a B.Tech in Food Technology and Processing from CDFST I MPUAT , Udaipur, Rajasthan.
