June 2025 : Minda Corporation Limited, the flagship company of the Spark Minda Group, recently announced a Joint Venture with Japan-based Toyodenso Co. for Advance automotive switches for the Indian market.
Minda Corporation will hold a majority stake of 60 percent in the newly formed venture, with Toyodenso Co. holding 40 percent. The new greenfield plant, which will be established in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, has already secured initial orders from Indian customers and is expected to commence operations by the second half of Fiscal Year 2026-27.
This strategic alliance is perfectly aligned with the escalating demand for sophisticated switches in the Indian automotive sector. It complements Minda Corporation's existing product portfolio and underscores its commitment to localizing new technologies and products for its customers. Through this collaboration, Toyodenso will contribute its cutting-edge technologies and advanced engineering capabilities, while Minda Corporation will leverage its deep expertise in localized manufacturing and robust supply chain ecosystem.
