Premier Energies Bags ₹1700 Crore Solar Module Supply Order from NTPC Limited

January 2024 : Premier Energies, India’s second largest integrated solar cell and module manufacturer, has been awarded a 608-megawatt (MW) DCR (Indigenous Solar Cell and Module) Bifacial Solar PV Modules supply order from NTPC Limited, a public sector undertaking owned by the Government of India. NTPC is India’s largest power utility with an installed capacity of 73,824 MW (including JVs), with plans to become a 130 GW company by 2032. The order, valued at approximately ₹1700 crore is for supplying Bifacial solar PV modules for NTPC’s Nokh Solar PV Project in Rajasthan. The supply is expected to be completed in a span of nine months.
Premier Energies’ Bifacial Solar PV Modules are manufactured at the Company’s 40-acre state-of-the-art facility in Hyderabad and are designed to maximize energy generation and enhance overall project efficiency and output.
With an annual module capacity of 4GW (& cell capacity of 2GW) the company is dedicated to developing world class indigenous solar cells and modules and to significantly contributing towards the ‘Make in India’ manufacturing initiative.
