November 2024 : India continues to surge ahead on the ‘Manufacturing Excellence Highway,’ driven by its demographic advantages and the Government of India’s supportive initiatives. The manufacturing sector is emerging as a cornerstone of India’s growth story, transforming not only the economy but also societal dimensions. The QuPID Manufacturing Confluence 2024 held on November 14, 2024 stands as a tribute to this progress, celebrating the spirit of innovation, resilience, and excellence in the industry.


New Benchmarks

Nominations were invited in eleven categories from manufacturing plants operational in the country. The entries were categorized under Large Enterprises as well as SMEs. Moreover, they were further segmented under either discrete industries or process industries. The objective has been to ensure that there is a level playing field. It is a practice that will continue for the years to come.

With 811 nominations representing more than 265 manufacturing plants from across the country, the QuPID Awards reflected the growing recognition and prestige of the platform, solidifying QuPID's position as a premier celebration of manufacturing excellence in India.


QuPID Conference

The QuPID Manufacturing Confluence 2024 brought together stakeholders from across the manufacturing sector to engage in insightful discussions, explore groundbreaking ideas, and celebrate excellence in the industry. With over 220 industry professionals, the agenda featured several panel discussions and fireside chat with industry experts. The Leadership Panel on Business Transformation, discussed strategies to foster collaboration, drive innovation, and achieve sustainable manufacturing. While, the session on Redefining India’s Factories of the Future explored operational excellence and the integration of legacy and modern equipment. Another standout was the Data-Driven Manufacturing panel, where CXOs delved into the role of cybersecurity, safety, and automation in smart manufacturing. The fireside chat with CHROs provided insights into strategies for optimizing the existing workforce leveraging technology.

Grand Jury Meet

The Jury Meet for the second edition of the Pro MFG QuPID Awards 2024 was conducted on 19 October at the Centre for Industry 4.0 Lab in Pune. The jury Meet brought together a panel of industry experts to select the best and brightest in manufacturing excellence.


This year’s jury included prominent figures such as Abhey Kalia, CEO of BU Bearings - India, Rhinemetall; Dr. Anant Sardeshmukh, Management Counsel and Executive Committee Member at MCCIA; DS Navalgundkar, Director of Indi4 Consult and Founder of C4i4 Lab; PC Jayan, Head of the Technical Centre at Tata AutoComp; Joseph Chaly, Managing Partner, CAMS Consulting; Krishna Bhojkar, Partner, Bhojkar Consulting; Manish Kulkarni, Co-Founder & Director, Pro MFG Media; Pushpendra Singh, Executive Coach - Mimansa, Ex-MD - Leoni Cables; Sreedhar Mogulluri, Director - Engineering, TAFE and K. Vijayavittal, Director - Engineering, Glatt Systems. “These awards are a crucial platform to spotlight innovation and excellence in manufacturing. They inspire organizations to push boundaries and set new benchmarks,” the Jury opined.


Recognizing Winners

The Pro MFG QuPID Awards platform recognized and celebrated achievements of top manufacturing plants across the country at the awards function. This included 49 plants winning in eleven different categories. The Jury also recognized 6 organizations for demonstrating outstanding leadership and innovation in setting high benchmarks in three out of nine categories. These include – Digital Transformation, Innovation - HSE and Quality.
