Schaeffler and NVIDIA Join Forces in Technology Collaboration to Advance Digital Manufacturing

June 2025 : Schaeffler has announced a strategic technology collaboration with NVIDIA, aiming to significantly digitalize its global production processes and enhance efficiency and agility. The partnership will leverage NVIDIA Omniverse to integrate and simulate production elements as digital twins, with an ambitious goal of integrating half of Schaeffler's plants into Omniverse by 2030.

Together, we will create a digital ecosystem for our more than 100 plants that will sustainably revolutionize production processes. The Omniverse and the use of digital twins will make our value chains more efficient and agile.”
This collaboration marks a significant step towards the Industrial Metaverse for the factory of the future. Schaeffler will develop digital representations of its plants and machines using the NVIDIA Omniverse platform. This will enable employees to simulate and rapidly optimize physical properties of materials, processes, and production workflows with AI-supported solutions. The Omniverse platform will also facilitate the flexible deployment of future technologies, such as humanoid robots, within production environments. Complex, fully automated assembly processes, like the mounting of sealing elements, are also set to benefit from AI integration in Omniverse, with real-time simulations allowing for adjustments throughout the product lifecycle.
