June 2025 : Ohmium International has recently announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited (India) to collaborate on the development of hydrogen-based solutions. This strategic partnership will integrate Toyota’s advanced PEM fuel cell modules with Ohmium’s cutting-edge PEM electrolyzers, aiming to accelerate India's transition towards a carbon-neutral future.
The significant event took place at the Shangri-La Eros Hotel in New Delhi and was graced by key government dignitaries. The chief guest presiding over the ceremony was the Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Roads, Transportation, and Highways. He was joined by Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Hon’ble Minister of State for New & Renewable Energy, Govt. of India, and Shri Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Hon'ble Minister of Environment, Industries, Food & Supplies and Forest & Wildlife, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
From the automotive giants, Ms. Manasi Tata Kirloskar, Vice Chairperson of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, and Mr. Swapnesh R. Maru, Deputy Managing Director for Corporate Planning and the Green Field Project at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, also spoke, expressing their strong support for this important endeavor.
Under the MoU, the parties will explore potential partnership opportunities to harmonize advanced fuel cell technology with Ohmium's hyper modular and efficient system designs. Ohmium’s modules are factory assembled and tested, facilitating rapid, low-cost, and cost-effective installation. Toyota Kirloskar Motor, supported by Toyota Motor Corporation Japan, will leverage their extensive expertise in fuel cell technologies to drive innovation and sustainability in the transportation sector. Ohmium will contribute its highly efficient and hyper modular PEM electrolyzer systems, which include advanced power electronics and closed-loop cooling systems.
