September 2025 : Whirlpool Corporation has recently announced the appointment of Santosh Wakchaure as its new Director of Engineering. Wakchaure, a veteran in the product development and engineering sector, brings a wealth of experience to his new role.

Before his latest appointment, Wakchaure served as the General Manager of Product Sourcing Engineering at Philips. He returns to Whirlpool Corporation, where he previously spent over 17 years in various leadership positions within product development and engineering.

His extensive background with the company includes roles such as Senior Manager of Product Development for Laundry, Senior Manager for NPD & ADI in Refrigeration, and Senior Manager for Global Top Mount System Architect Leader across India, Italy, and Brazil.

Wakchaure's expertise is further supported by his academic qualifications, including a professional certificate in Architecture and Systems Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a PGDBA in Operations from Symbiosis.
