July 2025 : Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN) recently announced the launch of Wipro Electronic Materials, a new business division established with a significant investment of ₹500 crore. Under this new division, Wipro is proud to inaugurate India’s first dedicated Copper Clad Laminate (CCL) manufacturing facility, aimed at powering electronics innovation in the country.

Located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, this state-of-the-art manufacturing plant will produce over 6 million sheets annually of PCB-grade laminates and prepreg materials. The facility is expected to generate approximately 350 jobs, marking a strong foundational step in reducing India’s dependency on imports and significantly uplifting the domestic electronics ecosystem.

The new division is driven by Tarun Amla and Neeraj Pandita, with Pratik Kumar at the helm. Wipro Electronic Materials embodies Wipro’s commitment to innovation, self-reliance, and global competitiveness.

Wipro emphasized that this initiative is more than just a factory; it reflects their strategic vision to drive innovation through advanced materials, smart manufacturing, and homegrown research. It represents a significant leap towards building a future-ready electronics ecosystem in India.
