June 2026 : Stepping up efforts to shape the next generation of industrial breakthroughs, ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) and the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate across education, research, innovation, and industry engagement. This alliance bridges elite academic research with real-world, heavy-industry operations, offering a direct pipeline for fresh ideas to enter the production floor.

Opening up new pathways for hands-on learning, the partnership will create opportunities for students, researchers, and industry professionals to work together on real-world manufacturing challenges, while advancing applied research, knowledge exchange, and innovation. A key pillar of this rollout is the integration of specialized corporate training ecosystems. Through NAMTECH, the industry-integrated education initiative, AM/NS India will also support the development of industry-ready talent equipped for the evolving needs of advanced manufacturing.
