Through this Centre of Excellence, we aim to create industry-ready talent equipped with specialized skills in orbital welding, process piping and semiconductor utility infrastructure.” - Deepak Acharya, Chief Executive Officer, INOX India Ltd.
June 2026 : INOX India Limited (INOXCVA), a global leader in cryogenic technology solutions, has partnered with ITM SLS Baroda University (ITMBU) to establish India’s premier Centre of Excellence for Orbital Welding, Process Piping, and Semiconductor Infrastructure Skills.
Coming up at ITMBU's Paldi Campus in Vadodara, this state-of-the-art facility is a direct, practical response to the ambitious India Semiconductor Mission (ISM). Instead of standard textbook training, the center will focus on highly specialized, niche disciplines that are absolute lifelines for modern semiconductor fabs and advanced electronics factories. Trainees will dive deep into orbital welding, ultra-high-purity (UHP) gas distribution systems, and complex semiconductor utility infrastructure - the exact precision skills currently in high demand as international tech giants eye Indian soil.
The milestone partnership was finalized in Vadodara in the presence of industry and academic leaders. Highlighting the long-term vision of the facility, Deepak Acharya, Chief Executive Officer, INOX India Ltd., said, “India’s semiconductor growth story will require not only world-class infrastructure, but also a highly skilled technical workforce capable of supporting precision manufacturing environments. Through this Centre of Excellence, we aim to create industry-ready talent equipped with specialized skills in orbital welding, process piping and semiconductor utility infrastructure. We believe this initiative can play an important role in strengthening India’s semiconductor ecosystem and supporting future investments in advanced manufacturing technologies.”
Echoing the excitement from an academic standpoint, Ravindra Singh Rathore, Vice President, ITM SLS Baroda University & Trustee, Samata Lok Sansthan, added, “This collaboration represents an important step towards bridging the gap between industry requirements and technical education. By working closely with INOXCVA, we will be able to offer students and trainees access to industry-relevant technologies, practical exposure and specialized skill development programs that can significantly enhance employability in high-growth sectors such as semiconductors and advanced manufacturing.”
By blending INOXCVA’s industrial engineering mastery with ITMBU’s academic framework, the center is set to become a vital pipeline for students, faculty, and working professionals across Gujarat and beyond, ensuring India's digital future is built on a rock-solid foundation.
