August 2026 : NAMTECH (New Age Makers’ Institute of Technology) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Mahindra & Mahindra. The tie-up opens doors for NAMTECH students to join Mahindra’s FLAME (Future Leaders in Automotive & Manufacturing Engineering) Program, an initiative built to close the long-standing gap between classroom theory and real-world industrial practice.

The agreement was formalized in the presence of Dr. Shankar Venugopal, Dean of the Mahindra Technical Academy and Vice President at Mahindra, alongside Dr. K C Vora, Program Director at NAMTECH's Automotive Centre of Excellence.

Through FLAME, participating students will gain direct, hands-on exposure to modern industrial workflows. Key aspects of the program include dedicated FLAME training modules, immersive field visits to Mahindra’s manufacturing plants, industry internships, and hands-on capstone projects.

A standout feature of the partnership is student participation in Project Hopper - a series of real-world operational challenges supplied by Mahindra. The project-based approach pushes learners to apply practical problem-solving, design thinking, and engineering innovation directly to current industry pain points.

Structured around twin focus areas - Automotive & Manufacturing, alongside Innovation & Entrepreneurship - the program goes well beyond traditional coursework. Students will participate in technical talks, expert mentorship sessions, engineering competitions, and direct networking opportunities with senior leadership across Mahindra.

By bringing high-caliber academic coursework into direct contact with advanced shop-floor realities, NAMTECH and Mahindra & Mahindra are building a stronger pipeline for workforce development - equipping the next generation of engineers with the skills needed to shape the future of smart manufacturing and mobility.
