September 2025 : Belden Inc., a global leader in connection solutions, has officially inaugurated its new five-story manufacturing facility, Pune Plant 2, marking a significant step in its strategic evolution across the Asia Pacific region. The company committed US$40 million to the expansion, which is designed to be a future-ready hub for smart manufacturing, safety, and sustainable operations.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Belden’s President and CEO, Dr. Ashish Chand, alongside the senior leadership team. The new facility adds a substantial 19,000 square meters of advanced manufacturing space, complementing the existing 10,000 sqm of Plant 1, which has been operating since 2018.

In alignment with global sustainability goals, Plant 2 is built to achieve the highly regarded India Green Building Certification. The design emphasizes energy efficiency and leverages existing solar energy systems from Plant 1 to power its operations, significantly reducing the company’s carbon footprint.
