"This new agreement illustrates, once again, our firm intent to meet our ‘Make in India’ commitments, and to contribute to the recognition of India as a major partner in the global aerospace supply chain." - Eric Trappier, Chairman and CEO, Dassault Aviation

June 2025 : Dassault Aviation and Reliance Aerostructure Limited (RAL), a subsidiary of Reliance Infrastructure Ltd, today announced a landmark agreement at the Paris Air Show to manufacture Falcon 2000 LXS Business Executive Jets in India for the global market. This marks the first time Dassault Aviation will produce Falcon 2000 jets outside France, strategically positioning India as a global aviation manufacturing hub.

This historic collaboration elevates India into an elite group of nations capable of manufacturing next-generation business jets, alongside the United States, France, Canada, and Brazil. For Dassault Aviation, DRAL (Dassault Reliance Aerospace Limited) will become a Center of Excellence (CoE) for the entire Falcon series, including the Falcon 6X and Falcon 8X programs - the first such CoE outside France.

Eric Trappier, Chairman and CEO, Dassault Aviation, stated, "This new agreement illustrates, once again, our firm intent to meet our ‘Make in India’ commitments and to contribute to the recognition of India as a major partner in the global aerospace supply chain."

Anil D. Ambani, Founder Chairman, Reliance Group, added, "This collaboration reflects our commitment to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India)’ and ‘Make in India for the World.’ This will help position India as a key force in the global aerospace value chain."

The agreement includes the transfer of full fuselage and wing assembly operations, along with major facility upgrades. The first "Made in India" Falcon 2000 is expected to take flight from the DRAL facility at MIHAN, Nagpur, by 2028. Additionally, Dassault will transfer the assembly of the front section of the Falcon 8X and Falcon 6X to DRAL.

Established in 2017, the DRAL joint venture has already assembled over 100 major subsections for the Falcon 2000 since 2019, showcasing its world-class precision manufacturing. This initiative will see India emerge as a strategic center for high-end business jet manufacturing, catering to rising demand both domestically and internationally. DRAL expects to recruit several hundred engineers and technicians in the coming decade to support these expanding operations.
