“A long-term arrangement of critical raw material supply through a dedicated on-site solution enhances execution visibility, supports efficient project delivery and creates value for our customers. We are pleased to partner with Praxair India, whose global expertise and wide capabilities align well with the requirements of this project." - Meghav Mehta, ED & CEO - Deepak Chem Tech Limited

May 2026 : Building a massive industrial project is a bit like assembling a complex puzzle - you need every piece to fit perfectly and, more importantly, you need them to stay in place. Deepak Chem Tech Limited (DCTL), a subsidiary of the chemical powerhouse Deepak Nitrite Limited, just secured a vital piece of its future. The company has entered into a long-term agreement with Praxair India (a Linde company) to build a specialized HyCO plant, ensuring a steady heartbeat of raw materials for its upcoming polycarbonate facility in Dahej, Gujarat.

The logic behind the partnership is simple yet powerful: reliability. Under this "build, own, and operate" model, Praxair will set up a dedicated on-site facility at Padariya. By having the feedstock produced right where it’s needed, DCTL eliminates supply chain jitters, allowing them to focus on what they do best - manufacturing high-performance materials.

Polycarbonate is a versatile "super material" found in everything from the sleek dashboards of our cars and the electronics in our pockets to the sturdy materials used in modern construction. By boosting domestic production, DCTL is helping fuel India’s high-growth sectors with locally sourced excellence.

Mr. Meghav Mehta, ED & CEO of Deepak Chem Tech Limited, highlighted the strategic importance of the move: "This agreement marks an important step in advancing our polycarbonate project. A long-term arrangement of critical raw material supply through a dedicated on-site solution enhances execution visibility, supports efficient project delivery and creates value for our customers. We are pleased to partner with Praxair India, whose global expertise and wide capabilities align well with the requirements of this project."

Looking toward the horizon, the on-site facility is slated for commissioning in 2028, perfectly timed to sync with the launch of the polycarbonate plant. As Deepak Nitrite continues to grow its reputation as a "Supplier of Choice" with its focus on the triple bottom line - People, Planet, and Profit - this collaboration stands as a testament to the power of integrated industrial strategy.
