July 2025 : Rosti, a global plastic injection moulding company, recently announced a significant expansion of its new injection moulding facility in Chennai, India, even before the original site has been completed. This move signals strong momentum for Rosti Asia’s long-term strategy in the region and reinforces its commitment to global growth.
The initial decision to establish a presence in India stemmed from a strategic collaboration with a long-standing customer seeking a production footprint in the region. With India rapidly emerging as one of the world’s most dynamic economies and a crucial export hub to Asia, Europe, and the US, this expansion supports Rosti’s ambition to grow its capacity in key markets.
The expansion provides Rosti with an additional 7,500 square meters of manufacturing space at the same location, enabling increased production flexibility and the ability to accommodate the needs of both existing and new customers. Once fully operational, the facility will house 45 state-of-the-art injection moulding machines ranging from 35 to 500 tons, delivering services across precision moulding, supply chain management, and contract manufacturing.

The Chennai facility will initially employ 100 people, with plans to grow to over 200 within two years as operations scale. Rosti extended its gratitude to both the Swedish and Indian governments for their support in enabling this milestone project.
