November 2025 : Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems (HIES) marked a significant expansion of its global footprint with the official opening of its first full-scale manufacturing facility in India, located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The grand inauguration took place on November 3, solidifying Hitachi's commitment to the burgeoning Indian industrial market.
The state-of-the-art factory is strategically designed to produce Hitachi stationary oil-flooded screw air compressors. This local production capability marks a major step forward, as it will enhance HIES's ability to serve customers in India with "local production, faster service and greater value," the company stated. The move aligns seamlessly with the 'Make in India' initiative, ensuring high-quality, specialized industrial equipment is manufactured domestically.
