September 2025 : John Cockerill India Limited has announced the appointment of Mr. Ujwal Kawale as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). With over 18 years of rich experience in industrial project management, engineering strategy, and operations across India and Europe, Mr. Kawale is set to strengthen the company’s leadership team and drive operational excellence.

A seasoned global executive, Mr. Kawale has built his career around international industrial projects and operations, particularly in the steel industry. He holds an M.Tech in Manufacturing Management from BITS Pilani, a Post-Graduate Program in Management Studies from Welingkar Institute, Mumbai, and a B.E. in Production Engineering from DY Patil College of Engineering, Shivaji University, Kolhapur.

Prior to this role, he served as Global Project Director – Metals Business at John Cockerill Industry, Belgium, where he successfully spearheaded multi-entity projects across Europe, the US, and India. His extensive global exposure, combined with deep operational insight and a collaborative leadership style, has earned him recognition as a trusted industry leader.

Mr. Kawale began his professional journey with John Cockerill India Limited and TCPL Packaging Limited, taking on various managerial responsibilities spanning project management, industrial strategy, and production planning. His return to John Cockerill India marks a significant milestone, reinforcing the company’s commitment to nurturing leadership talent with both local roots and international expertise.
