June 2026 : JSW Motors Limited has recently announced the appointment of Hilal Isar Khan as its new Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO). Based out of Mumbai, Khan takes the digital helm at a defining moment for the automaker as it aggressively scales up its software-driven, electric, and intelligent vehicle ecosystems.

Bringing more than three decades of deep-rooted automotive IT expertise, Khan’s professional journey mirrors the evolution of modern mobility itself. He has successfully guided technology strategies across multiple industrial shifts, moving seamlessly from traditional Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) environments to complex hybrid setups and cutting-edge Electric Vehicle (EV) architectures. His philosophy anchors technology as both a strategic driver and an operational enabler, prioritizing systems that remain secure, scalable, and intensely customer-centric.

Before stepping into his new role at JSW Motors, Khan dedicated over 25 years to Honda Cars India Ltd as VP & Operating Head of IT, where he pioneered some of the sector's earliest connected-car platforms and large-scale AI transformations. His rich career foundation also includes entrepreneurial and foundational experience at Global IT Options Ltd (funded by the DCM Group), Daewoo Motors India Ltd and DCM Toyota Ltd.

Khan holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Aligarh Muslim University He also completed the CIO Certification Course at IIM Bangalore.
