August 2026 : The Madras Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) announced significant changes to its executive leadership at its 190th Annual General Meeting, electing Mr. Vish Viswanathan as President and Mr. Murali Vaidyanathan as Vice-President for the 2026–27 term.

Viswanathan, President of Delphi TVS Technologies Ltd., steps into the top role alongside Vaidyanathan, President - Automotive at Wheels India Ltd. Together, they will lead MCCI’s Governing Council - a body comprising senior industrial leaders, multinational executives, and management experts responsible for shaping policy advocacy and driving sustainable economic growth across Tamil Nadu and India.

The AGM also marked the conclusion of Mr. Ramkumar Shankar’s impactful tenure as President, with the Chamber expressing deep gratitude for his dedicated leadership.

Viswanathan boasts over two decades as a CEO across diverse sectors like automotive, engineering, petrochemicals, and infrastructure. His career spans roles at Fortune 500 companies, Indo-US joint ventures, and management consultancies - including serving as Director of Finance and Business Planning at Visteon. Holding a unique background in engineering, finance, IT, law, and marketing, he has also served on government advisory panels and taught at global business schools.

Vaidyanathan brings four decades of global automotive expertise to Wheels India. A specialist in operational turnarounds and M&A, he previously served as Managing Director of Hanon Systems India (formerly Visteon) and held key roles across South America, South Africa, and Thailand. He holds a B.Tech from IIT Madras, a PGDM from IMT Ghaziabad.
