June 2025 : Nidec India proudly announced a landmark achievement today with the official inauguration of its sprawling "Orchard Hub," one of India's largest manufacturing campuses. Spanning over 50 acres in Kotur-Belur, Hubli-Dharwad, Karnataka, the facility marks a pivotal moment in Nidec's global growth strategy and its commitment to the Indian market.

The inauguration ceremony, held on June 2, 2025, was graced by Nidec's global leadership team. The event featured a cornerstone unveiling, ribbon-cutting, tree plantation, facility tours, and engaging interactions with team members and government officials. This significant milestone comes less than two years after the groundbreaking event in September 2023.

Set to begin the operations in the coming days, the Orchard Hub will be manufacturing products across Nidec Motion and Energy Business Units- high efficiency motors, generators, drives, system solutions, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and EV chargers.

This landmark facility is expected to generate over 1,000 direct and 1,000 indirect employment opportunities, significantly contributing to local economic development and fostering industrial growth in the region.
